A rectangular ductwork end cap is used on the end of a piece of trunk duct to "cap" or "terminate" a section of ductwork. The end cap is critical as without it air pressure would not build up inside your buildings ductwork.
- Rectangular ductwork end caps are typically made of galvanized sheet metal. End caps are joined to the trunk duct using what is called a "slip and drive" connection as shown in the image below. Slip and drive connections are put together with ease as no drilling, rivets or screws are required. Drive cleats mate the end cap to the trunk duct and lock the end cap in place.
- Our End Caps are made of 26 gauge galvanized sheet metal and come with 2-drive cleats.
Rectangular ductwork end caps come in various sizes. Typically you match your end cap size to your the size of the trunk duct you are capping.
